Understand the Terror and Fear of Getting Taken Out Drivers Who Text
Driving while distracted cell phone or other electronic device is an increasing problem on both public roads and highways. While many drivers claim that they are simply not paying attention to the road, others admit to glancing at their phones while behind the wheel.
With the increased use of smartphones and tablets, it is no surprise that driving while distracted has become a serious problem. On public roads, the most common distractions include texting, eating and applying makeup. All of these activities can easily occupy a driver’s attention for several seconds and result in an accident.
However, even when a driver is not undertaking one of these activities, there is still a risk of getting into an accident if their attention wanders off the road. Because of this, it is important for drivers to be aware of the dangers of distracted driving and take measures to prevent themselves from being pulled over for texting and driving.
I am still rattle from a distracted driver almost ending my existence. Stay safe out there and hope this trend goes down.
