Won’t use the word hooligans – Here’s why
While the term is often associated with unruly fans of a certain team, it’s equally applicable to the supporters of other clubs. In fact, the term has become synonymous with troublemakers across the world.
Even though hooliganism is on the decline in most European countries, it is still prevalent in some countries. For example, hooliganism occurs in Russia, while it is not an issue in countries like Sweden or the Netherlands.
Fans of rival teams are frequently targeted hooligans, who often use violence to gain attention for their favorite team.
