Why you should allow new processed information to influence your future decisions

Allow new processed information to make future decisions

The prefrontal cortex is a part of the brain that has been shown to be involved in decision making. It allows new information to be processed, which is important for making future decisions. New processed information can be thought of as anything that happens in the environment, including new people, places or things you encounter. This type of information is able to make a difference because it is being processed and evaluated the prefrontal cortex.

new processed informationFor example, if you meet a new friend and they invite you out to lunch, you would likely experience cognitive dissonance if you decide to decline the invitation but then later change your mind. The prefrontal cortex is involved in processing this dissonance and deciding whether or not to go out with them. By allowing new processed information to make future decisions, the prefrontal cortex ensures that all options are being considered before a final decision is made.

This is my round about way of saying I reach a milestone and I am proud of myself without being pompous. It is hard work being this good.
